Must have Baby Registry items for 2016

Must have Baby Registry items that may not be on your list! For a first time mom, I found registering for a baby very overwhelming! I walked into Buy Buy Baby, took one lap around and left. There were tons of things to choose from… I had NO idea there were so many things a baby needed. I knew they needed the obvious things like diapers, wipes, crib, car seat, and stroller.

After that, I decided to call some of my friends with a baby for advice.  One of my friends offered to go to Buy Buy Baby to help me with my registry and that was a WONDERFUL idea!  She helped me go through the enormous list they give you in your registry packet and make sense of it all.  She kept me on track with practical things for me and baby.

Here’s a list of MUST have items for your registry… beyond the obvious things:

NoseFrida – I heard about this gem from friends after baby arrived, this has been a life saver on multiple occasions.

MyBaby SoundSpa – On the go sound machine, great to have when it’s nap time and you’re on the go.

My Brest Friend – Similar to the Boppy, but I preferred this nursing pillow as it straps around you.

Freemie Collection Cups – Pump anytime, anywhere, and around anyone.

Solly Baby Wrap – There a ton of different wraps, but this one has been a favorite for a lot of my mama friends.

Covered Goods – Multi-use Nursing Cover – 4 in 1, one cover and 4 ways to use it.

Rock n play – Instead of a bassinet, our son slept in this next to our bed.  If folds up for easy travel too!

• Car Seat/ Stroller Travel system – There are a lot of different brands, but make sure you can connect your car seat into your stroller.  I have the Uppababy Mesa car seat and Uppababy Cruz stroller.  When we fly, the car seat base can be connected to the car seat and click into the stroller.

Huggies Clutch n’ Clean – Refillable wipes, awesome to have in the diaper bag or around the house.  I just purchase the wipes in bulk and refill!

Soothies Gel Pads – When you first start nursing, you will be so glad you have these!

Dr Brown’s Natural Flow Bottles – These bottles worked great for us and have been continuously recommended especially for colic and spit-up.  Also, there are various nipple sizes as baby gets older.  You may want to register for the level 2 and 3 nipple sizes.

JJ Cole Car Seat Arm Cushion – The car seat gets heavy carrying in and out of the car, this helps cushion your arm to make it more comfortable

Boppy Newborn Lounger – This is great before baby starts to roll, gives your arms a break! We’d set our son on it during dinner on the table, co-sleep in our bed, or even to go to the bathroom.

DuetSoothe Swing + Rocker – This has a lot of options, 3 swing directions, removable rocker with vibrator and music.

Kick & Play Piano Gym – Offers 3 stages, so it grows with your baby.

Ergo Baby 360 – 4 positions with infant insert – Great option for Dad to help carry baby.

Bumbo – NEW Multi Seat – Functions as a floor, booster and feeding seat.

Cerave Baby Lotion – Wonderful moisturizing lotion for baby’s delicate skin.

Exercise Ball – During the “bewitching” hours, the stability ball helped a TON.  We’d hold baby and bounce to get him to stop crying or fall asleep.

Changing Pad Liners – The liners help extend the time between washing changing pad covers, especially if you have a little boy! I narrowed the list to 20, but I definitely could have included many more! Hopefully you find these items as helpful as the rest of us.  Feel free to include additional registry must haves below.
