MEET YOUR CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. Theresa received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences near Chicago, Illinois. She has additional post-graduate training in functional medicine, functional rehabilitation, ergonomics, athletic taping, nutrition, pediatrics, and pre-natal care. She received her certification in the Webster Technique and is currently working towards her McKenzie Method of Diagnosis and Treatment.
Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Theresa is the oldest of five girls! Coming from a long line of medical professionals, she always had a love for the "art" of healing. She attended Michigan State University (Go Green!) for her Human Biology degree and went on to receive her Chiropractic Doctorate which combined her passions for health living and science.
Following graduation, Dr. Theresa and her husband moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. She started in practice under the mentorship of Dr. Karen May at May Family Chiropractic, a family and sports medicine practice . Dr. Theresa able to develop her knowledge and skill set to effectively manage a wide mer variety of patients. Her treatment style is strongly based in restoring health by utilizing non-invasive therapies, such as nutritional counseling, vitamin and mineral supplementation, various myofascial release techniques, and chiropractic manipulation.
FLOW Chiropractic was developed out of a passion to bring this knowledge and skill set to the people of West Michigan. Dr. Theresa wholeheartedly believes in “Doctor as teacher” and that education can empower people to live optimally.
In her free time, Dr. Theresa enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, running, cooking, supporting small businesses in her local community, and traveling.
