Trader Joe’s is well-loved, but can be overwhelming if you’re new to the store. To help you navigate the aisles with ease, we asked our mamas what they love to buy at Trader Joe’s and this is what they shared with us! If you have any Trader Joe’s tried and true favorites to add to the list, let us know in the comments.
Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
Duh! This seasoning is delicious on just about everything. A favorite is sprinkling it on top of avocado toast.
Maple Leaf Cookies
A delicious treat for Fall! Adorably shaped like leaves and flavored with sweet maple, you can’t go wrong with these cookies.
Our mamas recommended a few varieties of Trader Joe’s ravioli from the refrigerated section. The two best flavors? Pumpkin and Butternut Squash. Both sound delicious! Check out this recipe for Pumpkin Ravioli and Browned Butter Balsamic Sauce by PerfectLee Hungry.
If you’re in the mood for Mediterranean, Trader Joe’s has everything you need – precooked gyro meat, pita, tzatziki, and an organic Mediterranean style salad kit.
Blueberry Goat Cheese
One of our mama’s secret weapons for an easy but impressive appetizer. In her words, Trader Joe’s Blueberry Goat Cheese is “a smash at events!” Serve with some crackers and cheese knife and you’re good to go. Minimal effort, maximum deliciousness. That’s our kind of appetizer!
Another Easy Appetizer
Combine 1 pack steamed lentils from the refrigerator section and 2 containers of their jarred bruschetta. All you do is mix and chill! The mom who recommended this combo says she serves the mixture with pita chips, corn chips, or any other kind of chip. Feta is a yummy but optional addition!
Other faves our mamas shared with us are Scandinavian Swimmers (Trader Joe’s version of Swedish Fish), almond butter cups, tamales, lemon biscotti, and an assortment of dips and salsas. Bonus: their fresh flowers are always beautiful and inexpensive! What are some of your favorite Trader Joe’s finds?
