Spinning Babies (R) Parent Class
January 18 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm$150
Spinning Babies is a physiological approach for ease and comfort in pregnancy and childbirth. This class focuses on balancing the body in hopes of achieving an easier birth with fetal positioning, teaches you and your partner techniques to reduce the risk of interventions and C-sections, and discusses birthing anatomy and how to open the pelvic floor. While our bodies are made to birth babies, our modern world has brought new challenges with how we sit, twist, and move, creating internal ligament and muscle imbalances. We will discuss how to move and sit smarter and how your pelvis affects the cardinal movements of the baby.
You will be taught stretches and The Three Sisters of Balance using a traditional handmade Rebozo from Mexico that you get to take home with you and use in labor! Lastly, learn how to BellyMap with your partner to find out how your baby is positioned- a fun bonding session!
Class is taught by parent educator Jamie Platt BSN, RN, CLC, CBE, CD
